Paul Albers _98) began his geocaching journey in 2007 and has since become one of the most dedicated and impactful contributors to the Texas geocaching community. With over 40,000 finds and 721 hides — earning 897 favorite points — his commitment to the game runs deep in every direction. Paul is a master Earthcache creator, owning 26 Earthcaches and even hosting a 101 Earthcache class to help others appreciate how the game connects people with the science and beauty of the natural world. His expertise was recognized early on when Geocaching HQ sought him out to help with the development of the Earthcache program. Perhaps no stat speaks louder than his 142 monthly CITO events hosted since 2014 — making him one of the most prolific CITO hosts in the state — part of an impressive total of 426 events hosted. He has also created 30 Lab Caches and has been a consistent supporter of TXGA events throughout his caching career. Beyond the numbers, Paul is known throughout the community as a patient mentor and generous teacher — always willing to guide newcomers and experienced cachers alike through the rules, the nuances of cache placement, and the deeper spirit of the game.
