A meeting of the Executive Directors of the Texas Geocaching Association was held on July 7th, 2020 at 7:00pm by teleconference call.
The meeting was called to order at 7:03pm.
The minutes from the Executive Directors meeting dated June 2nd, 2020 are approved.
Deanna Vickery presented the May financial statement:
TXGA’s opening balance was $5,643.67
In May, TXGA had debits in the amount of $202.10, for postage charges associated with mailing purchased items from TXGA (profits from the purchased items will be reflected in next month’s financial report).
TXGA’s closing balance was $5,441.57
New Finance/Compliance Officer
The Board has nominated Michael Cash (mijkie) to replace Deanne Vickery as Finance/Compliance Officer.
Various board members posed questions to Mr. Cash about his qualifications, historical background in finance and vision for the TXGA.
A quorum of the board has voted in favor of appointing Mr. Cash as the new Finance/Compliance Officer, effective immediately.
Roundup 2020 has been postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Roundup 2021 will still be hosted by North Texas, the region rotation will simply be pushed back a year.
Publication of the Mega is imminent, pending approval from Geocaching-HQ.
Planning for Challenge is in progress, with multiple developments in the works through the Cisco mayor’s office and city council.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:29pm.
The Board will next meet on August 4th, 2020.
